James stayed home from work and spent the day chilling with us. He said that it was his best birthday ever...because it was just so relaxed, and because he got to hang out with his little boy.

Yesterday I wrapped up his first gift and addressed it from Max. I actually put a pen in Max's hand and wrote "To Dad, From Max." It was silly and cute. It was the DVD "
God, The Universe & Everything," with Carl Sagan, Stephen Hawking and Arthur C. Clarke. I also gave him three books written by Carl Sagan;
The Varieties of Scientific Experience: A Personal View of the Search for God, Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space, and
Conversations with Carl Sagan. Books with long titles are so up his alley. :) Hopefully he will enjoy them.
To offset the serious (although humorous) Carl Sagan I also gave him season three and four of the BBC comedy, A Bit of Fry & Laurie.

So the actor in Fry & Laurie has been making some appearances in Bones and has Mike and I laughing our heads off...maybe I should check this series out too.
P.S. We absolutely LOVE Bones. Thanks for the recomendation. Other than a few gruesome episodes (where I had to leap into bed in order to stay safe from monsters)I have really enjoyed it. BOOTH IS SOOO HOT! :)
I was going to send you an email asking that you forward a message to James and then "sing" happy birthday to him. Everytime I got on my email to send you that message I had another message. I'm sorry I didn't send it but will you pass it along that I thought of him on his birthday?
Happy Birthday James!
