6 Weeks

Today Max is six weeks old.
How did that happen so fast?

Tuesday I met with Julie, my midwife, for a check up. I am healing nicely although I bruised my tail bone and that will continue to hurt for awhile. They actually asked me at the appointment if I needed to take a pregnancy test. I realize it is one of the questions on some checklist, but wow! I cannot image being pregnant again so quickly. It would feel like one long pregnancy lasting 2 years. I have another appointment in two weeks to get an IUC. I want to be able to choose when I get pregnant again...not leaving it to chance. They made an appointment for me with an Orthopedic to look at my wrists. I have little bumps on the inside of my wrists which lock up and make it very painful to lift anything especially my little boy. Unfortunately I couldn't get in until May 20th so I will have to wait 2 1/2 weeks just to have it checked out.

Yesterday we bought a video camera. I am very excited to have a nice camera to record our little boy's life. I was thinking about the pictures that I have of James and I when we were young. Just a few pictures, mostly black and white. The quality of the pictures we can take now and having the technology to record is so cool!

This is what it looks like outside this morning.
May 1st and it is snowing.

The one good thing is that it is covering the jungle of a lawn which I am very aware is in dire need of mowing. Our next door neighbor is an older retired couple and they spent so much time on their lawn and it always looks immaculate. I feel like the white trash neighbors who don't take care of their yard.

As you can see from the picture my cat is sitting just outside the window begging to come in. Last night I was abruptly reminded why we can't let him come in and out through his pet door. He brought in a live bird and we had to chase him and the bird outside and then clean up all the feathers. James' nieces would happily take him and I am so close to just giving him to them.

Max is such cutie! Can't believe how much he's filled out since I was there visiting just a couple of weeks ago. He really looks like his papa.

Congrats on your video camera purchase. I'm sure he will have a well documented life!

Sympathies on the cat front. Our now outdoor kitty has been leaving us "treats" the last few days. Yesterday was a half-alive bird and this morning two dead baby mice. Yuck!

I hope that snow has cleared out by the time I get there!

Max is adorable.

I hope the tailbone and the wrists and everything else heals up soon. Sorry you are having such post baby trouble-what a pain.
