Two Weeks in Review

I can't believe it has been two weeks since Max joined us in the world. The time has flown. I think we might be starting to get the hang of this. And each day of recovery makes things a bit easier.

Random things...

* I love my Bed! The dreaded bedtime is no longer. Now not only can I sleep, but I am comfortable and cozy.

* Skinny Ankles. It is not yet time to take stock of the rest of my body, but I have ankles again!

* Water. I don't enjoy it quite like I used to, but I am slowly rekindling my love affair with H2O.

* Feed the Mommy? It seems I have completely forgotten how to feed myself. I forget to do it at all, and then when I think of it, I can't seem to remember what I used to eat.

* No Jumpy Legs! I am back to my one calcium a night instead of 9 a day. And no more jumpy legs keeping me awake.

* Tiny Fingernails. I am terrified to cut them.

* Naps. I can sleep anywhere, anytime.

* Maternity Leave??? I don't think I have to worry about my job as the boss can't seem to function without me for even a little while. Calls to find out if his mortgage has been paid, to get the taxes done before the 15th, and he is I quote "scared to do the draws on his own."

* Not all Breast Pumps are created equal. Thanks to Kata for the Medela Double Pump...what a lifesaver, especially at 4:00 am.

* Leaving the house is not necessary. OK, it will become so, but I have managed to not leave the house for three days now.

* No more Cheerios. Today marked a momentous event...after nearly eight months of Cheerios every morning, I think I might actually be tired of them. Maybe its time for some Total or Wheaties.

* Sleepy Cuteness. No matter how securely he is bundled he always works an arm out and sleeps with it by his head.

* HE IS SO CUTE!!!! And such a calm kid. And a good sleeper. I sure am glad he is here!

He is adorable. I'm glad you are both home safe and working towards a normal routine. It's cool to see a picture of you with a baby. You look great and those are the kind of pictures you will want later. I wish I could come visit but all in good time - you probably want him to yourself for a little while.

It's also cool to see his personality coming out, separating himself from other babies. His aunt Cami sleeps like that too. I don't know how I do it but I sleep better if one or both of my arms are above my head - of course mine are a lot longer and can go above my head but he will work into it.

I'm so glad to hear this happy list of things. It seems about time for you to have some good all around. I'm so glad you have Max. He is perfect.

I love this post. So many of your random things are running through my mind as well.

The first picture of Max looks so much like Hyrum - Levi and I were amazed. Though from the profile they look different.

Very cute kid!
