On Friday Jake sent me an email saying that Jess had found a Thomas the Train blanket at a show. Jess remembered the post about his pajamas so she picked it up for him. He absolutely loves it! He was so excited to put it in his bed and played there for quite a while.

Erika's Dance
Saturday evening I was able to join Kimber, Levi, Caitlin and Erika at Erika's dance competition at Thanksgiving Point. It was the first time I have seen Erika dance and she is amazing! It was a blast to hang out with the teenagers with their energy and silliness. It was especially fun to watch Caitlin get all giddy to meet Ryan and Ashley from So You Can Dance.
Afterward they all came back to my house and we stayed up too late watching Ace of Cakes.

Christmas 2009
It was the first time that Max actually unwrapping anything and although he still doesn't understand it all, he certainly enjoyed his new things. We took it very slow and let him play with each thing until he was ready to move on.
After sleeping in, showering and eating we started with Max's stocking. He was still in his pajamas and fighting getting dressed and I knew he would be excited to put on his new train shirt. He was also asking for a bottle and so I wanted to get his new cup open. It has trucks and cars on it and I hoped that it would help him be more excited about drinking from his cup rather than the bottle. He likes pointing out the trucks on it.
(You can also see his new train shirt.)

9:00 Church
It was awesome! It has been years since I have gone to church in the morning and I have really been looking forward to the change. We got up at our normal time and had time to eat breakfast and get dressed. There wasn't time to dillydally, no need to wait around and not really even time to talk myself out of going (not that I do that on a regular basis.) Max watched the Fullmer Family Christmas DVD while I got ready. (Thanks Mike & Kate!) He came to find me while I was getting dressed to tell me that he saw Jesus and ask me to start it again. He didn't fuss at all about going to nursery and he did great through Sacrament meeting. I enjoyed RS and SS, especially because I read the Ensign this last week and the lessons focused on two of the talks from the magazine.

New Year's Eve Stitches
I hope you don't mind Kata but James told Max that he went and got himself a "Logan Mitt."
James and Maury were sitting at the table talking and I was walking dinner over to the table when we heard the crash. Max had tried to get his step ladder out by himself and fallen onto it. His finger was pinched inbetween the sides and his finger cut by the sharp edge of the slit inside.

He slept through the night and this morning he has been very cheerful. He sat and watched his Goodnight Gorilla video and held still while I changed the bandage. It is his favorite video right now...his favorite bedtime story come to life.
