Max and his Toys

I recently changed things in Max's room. Every time we get him out of bed he wants to get the stuffed animals so I decided to put them within his reach. I moved a shelf into his room and put his toys and animals on it.

Of course it means that he pulls them onto the floor and we clean them up, but that is just part of being a parent, right.

One of his favorite "toys" is the diaper caddy.

He likes to pull out all of the diapers one by one, take out the box of wipes, take the lid of the wipes and (if he can get to it before Mom does) dump out all of the wipes.

He has recently learned to shake the frog to make it talk. It used to scare him and now it is one of his favorite toys.

(Thanks Lauren.)

I wonder why kids do that? Pulling things off shelves and out of containers doesn't sound logical on this end but kids his age do it - so why do they do it? Is it just fun seeing their parents go behind them and fix it?

He is so cute. I can't believe how much he's grown.
