Max loves to watch the cake making on YouTube so I decided to make his favorite fire engine cake for his birthday. He was so excited to watch the cake taking shape and he knew what steps were coming next. He helped me put on the cookie wheels and all the decorations. And then used the cake scraps and frosting to decorate and pick in. As he was eating the frosting he started to say, "frosting make you feel better."

The Guests
Kate, Mike, Korben, Logan, Tiffany, Kolter & Kaden

The Toolbox
Whenever we do something with tools Max wants to "play/help." So we got him his own tool set.

The Boys and The Toolbox
It was so fun to see all the boys watch him open the toolbox and then immediately surround him on the floor to ooh and aah.
Boys will be boys.
The Gifts
From Kolter and Kaden: Max's words..."New tractors!" Also new bath/sand toys which Tiffany said her boys were excited about because they want to come over and play with Max in our sand box.
From Hyrum: Curious George match game.
From Grandma: Monster Truck book
And finally in Max's words..."New Leapfrog!"

George
And from Korben and Logan his very own Curious George doll. He was at first much more fascinated with the tools. But George is his permanent side-kick. When we come home from wherever he walks in and says, "George, I'm home." And he will carry him around saying, "I love my George, George loves his Maxi, I love my George, George loves his Maxi."

It was a fun birthday. And I can't believe my little boy is already three.
